Dusty' Riders is in need of volunteers for Horse Expo at the Pomona Fairplex 2/5-7. In case you don't know about us, We are an at risk kids' horse program. 2016 is our 15th anniversary. For more info, check out our website: www.dustysriders.org. Here's what we need...there's actually 2 jobs now. Both require a commitment for the entire day (8am - 6pm) however you won't work the whole day. You get in for free, but you have to cover your parking & food (if you want something other than the pizza we supply).
1. Park Your Packages. We run Horse Expo's package check and they let our program keep the tips. You'll work a 2 hrs shift between 9-3 manning the booth (taking in/handing out packages) and then it's all hands on deck from 3-6 when it gets busy & we help people out to their cars for a bigger tip. You will have time to shop & see a clinic or two. Currently, we have 4 spots left on Friday (2/5), 5 spots on Saturday (2/6)and 6 spots left on Sunday (2/7). I have feelers out in other directions so its first come for the spots.
2. Poo Patrol. For the first time, Horse Expo has asked us to find 2 people each day to walk the grounds to sweep up random horse poop. Kind of a low key way to mill around, see stuff, etc. You'll get an Expo t shirt, credentials plus lunch & breaks. We have 2 spots available for each day.
If you are interested, please let email Sarah Williams at email@example.com sooner than later as we are hoping to fill these spots by end of next week.
